Why we're taking part
My mum sadly died on the 19th July 2023 from pancreatic cancer. She fought hard since her diagnosis last year, undergoing chemo where Macmillan nurses would be by her side every time. Sadly due to the aggressive nature of my mums cancer in May this year the cancer ended up spreading to her liver and within a very short time she passed away.
She always spoke highly of the MacMillan nurses and all they did for her and at times they helped me process and understand my mums cancer.
So me and my husband are pairing up to go sober this October, because what’s one month out of the year when there are so many people battling cancer. So please help us raise some money to help Macmillan support more of those in need.
