Robin. Amazing cause. Hugely supportive of what you are doing and why. Keep at it fella.
Thank you Glenn, I'm pretty sure I'm prepped and ready to do October!! |

Always willing to support a good cause, I think macmillan is great...
Good luck, am sure you'll survive and reap the rewards.
Thank you Simon, yes a great cause and the support has been amazing and I haven't even started yet. Looking forward to seeing what changes being sober for 6 weeks brings!! |

Robin, in all the time I have known you I think only once (the first time we met) you were not under the influence. How much of someone do you really get to know? Wish you the best with this and maybe next time we meet we can both be sober.
Thank you Miles - you might find me thoroughly boring (or you might find me thoroughly boring now and scintillating sober!!) |
£150.00 from Andy Farmer |
Lord Robin…very encouraging to see this! We got this and yes we said “we” as everyone is behind you and at the ready if you want to talk. You have our utmost respect on so many levels. Whilst this will be a challenge it is a challenge that you will meet and exceed in as you always rise to the top. Here’s to your continued success!!
Oh wow, thank you so much Andy for your amazing contribution but also for your motivational words - I am actually starting to feel better already and so motivated and certain that I can do this with so many people to turn to if I am struggling |

Very happy to support you on this, a cause close to my heart. You worked for me for a few years so this will be easy!!!!
Thanks Tim, I am starting to think it will be OK, just wish I had done it 25 years ago (Mr Betty Ford) |
£25.00 from Mark Rees - 360VTL |
Best of luck Robin!
Probably the best presenter in the industry, and that's probably whilst nursing the effects of the night before. Cannot see how you could be better, but hopefully a clearer head will give you bigger wings!
cheers
M
Thank you Mark, I actually started early 11 days ago and already feel I am starting to get the full Robin Mojo back so you just wait for the next presentation, I'll be bouncing around the room!! |
£25.88 from Laura & Justin |
You don't need luck... you've absolutely got this! 💪💪💪
Thank you guys. You are right, I have had my lucky breaks, including the alcohol not finishing me off already, this is down to will power alone and of course the amazing supportive people in my life, I had forgotten how many people have got my back! |
£5.00 from Seb HuntGift Aid +£1.25 |
Good luck Robin! A small donation, but I wanted to show my support.
Thank you so much Seb, it's not the amount but the sentiment (and you have helped smash through the £1000 mark ;-) ) |
£1.00 from Dr KotGift Aid +£0.25 |
I do feel inspired to follow your example with a period of sobriety Robin, yes.
As a point of order: believe we've started drinking together for 38 years ago rather than 36... we are indeed due for a 'well earned' break...
Surely not, we would have been 14........................... That would have been illegal! |

One pound for every day sober, if you read the full story you will see I actually started two weeks early. If I give up for good, this could soon add up but nothing close to the booze spend!!
