Why I’m Taking Part
This was my eleventh successive Sober October raising vital funds for Macmillan Cancer Support and, to date, the generosity of many of you means that we've now raised over £2,550 this year and £20,181 plus @GiftAidUK (c.£25,000 in total) for @macmillancancer since 2014! This year, as we near the end of November, I sit at 10th nationally out of almost 30,000 fundraisers; Indeed, this has been my most successful Sober October so far! You can donate until the close of this month, so, go on, if you haven't got round to donating yet, you know what to do! Many, many thanks to the many of you who have supported me this year or any year since 2014, and I know that many of you support me every year! Macmillan are doing great work and they are able to because of your support! Thanks again!

Every year, I receive fantastic support from the parishioners at Sacred Heart and from the Parish Priest, Father Jim, who always makes space for these after mass collections on one of the Sundays in October! Many more parishioners sponsor me online! |

Last year I donated because you met the challenge of getting the DnK old boys together. This year I’m torn between having to face you without donating at the third meeting and the fact that I have since last January been supporting my mother through her cancer treatment. I have now seen first hand the amazing work of the nurses and everyone at the MacMillan centre @ UCLH. A worthy cause of eve there was one! See you in November!
