Why I’m Taking Part
Back in 2018 and 2021 I took part in ‘Sober for October’, raising funds for Macmillan Cancer Support. Macmillan had played a huge part in caring for many of the people that we have known and loved and who have suffered with cancer, and I was honoured to ‘do my bit’ and absolutely blown away by the generosity of the people that sponsored me. Once again, massive thanks to all who took part back then.
Another three years on, the list of people that we know who have been diagnosed with, and are struggling with, this horrible disease is unfortunately longer. So, I’m on it again – starting the fundraising early and looking to you for support as I undertake to not let a drop of alcohol pass my lips for the entire month of October.
